The Coast

3 Hours | 12 Miles

Did you know that Edinburgh has a nearby beach? Enjoy a coffee, ice cream or even a dip in the North Sea at Portobello. We shall start by cycling through the Victorian-era Innocent Tunnel which was built in 1860 and goes underneath Holyrood Park. Take a photo at our 'view point' on Holyrood Park before we enjoy a cycle path ride all the way to the beach. Suitable for families - children must be able to ride a bike confidently. If they are younger, choose a rear child seat / long tailed cargo bike at checkout. Start and end at Bridgend Farmhouse.

The Circular

4.5 Hours | 20 Miles

We will complete a circle around Edinburgh and you will see the beautiful parts of Edinburgh many visitors miss, including the Meadows, Union Canal, Saughton Gardens, Dean Village, Port of Leith and Portobello Beach. You will be amongst Canals, aqueducts, railways, gardens, beaches, mountains and tunnels and never more than 3 miles from the city centre. Minimum age 12 and must be a competent rider. To hire an E-bike minimum age is 14 due to UK law. Start and end at Bridgend Farmhouse.

The E-bike History

2.5 Hours | 10 Miles

We cycle through the Victorian railway tunnel and up into Holyrood Park. Stop for a photo of Arthur’s Seat, Salisbury Crags and views of Edinburgh Castle and the Old town. We then enjoy a lovely sweeping downhill ride to Holyrood Palace and Scottish Parliament. We then continue round Arthur’s Seat for the most stunning views. On our return we pass Craigmillar Castle - the important location of Mary Queen of Scots and of course, Outlander. Minimum age 14 due to E-bike laws in UK. Start and end at Bridgend Farmhouse.

Introduction to Bike Packing

2 Days | 30 Miles

This is a beautiful, off road trip using an incredible network of paths; old forestry tracks, sustrans bike network and even sections of the Rob Roy Way. We will pass mountains and lochs, stunning scenery and feel like we are truly in the wilderness, despite never being too far from the road!
