The Circular

We will complete a circle around Edinburgh and you will see the beautiful parts of Edinburgh many visitors miss, including the Meadows, Union Canal, Saughton Gardens, Dean Village, Port of Leith and Portobello Beach. You will be amongst canals, aqueducts, railways, gardens, beaches, mountains and tunnels and never more than 3 miles from the city centre. This tour is 20 miles and we will stop for refreshments on the way. It is mainly flat but Edinburgh is built on 7 hills, so there will be some small short inclines along the way but nothing serious! If you'd prefer an E-bike - please choose this option as an 'add-on' at checkout. We will take photos for you as there are so many beautiful and interesting locations on this unique cycle around Edinburgh.

  • Yes, we plan all our routes carefully, so comfort for our guests is paramount. There are lots of available restroom facilities to use.

  • Yes, absolutely! There are 2 planned coffee stops during the tour. We can stop at either or both, depending on how your and your group are feeling.

  • We make the minimum age 12 yrs for this tour. Groups with children under 12 yrs are best to join our ‘Coast Tour’ or enquire about private family tours.

  • We are lucky to live in beautiful Scotland so the weather is changeable. We go ahead rain or shine. The only reason we cancel for bad weather is if it poses a risk to our guests and guides and if there is a weather warning issued by the 'Met office'. Please wear weather appropriate clothing.
